YEAR 6

Let’s get creative as we provide students with the best tools to activate their learning. Resources like Reading Eggspress and Mathletics are both excellent online programs for supporting their studies and this reading list for upper primary students is worth checking out too:

“The Red Tree,” by Shaun Tan.
“Wisp: A Story of Hope.”
“Suri’s Wall,” by Lucy Estela and Matt Ottley.
“The Bicycle,” by Colin Thompson and Quentin Blake.
“The Feather,” Margaret Wild and Freya Blackwood.

I am so proud of our Year Six group for 2020! This term, there have been some excellent displays of working independently, responsibly and cooperatively with one another e.g. Maths Lesson on Dot Plots.

The ball game on the last day was a hilarious example of the Year Six’s showing they could work together as a team to achieve a set goal by earnestly encouraging others to do their best and staying focused until the end. You did it!

Remember to always believe in yourself and when faced with a challenge, learn to work through it.

We all want our children to achieve their best so parents:
